He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.  Psalm 40:2b

“The Office Offerings”

1 Corinthians 2:9

"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him."

Has your heart been cleansed with Jesus' blood sacrifice? Are you prepared to receive the wonderful things God has prepared for his adopted children?  If not, we would love to share with you about our savior         Jesus.  If so, can't wait to see you there "I can only imagine."

As expected in the last several days, many changes have occurred in the current COVID-19 Pandemic. Expectedly, both the incidence and prevalence of the SARS Corona Virus (COVID-19) will increase over the coming days and weeks. While this is unsettling, we must remember several key points. First and foremost God is both sovereign and in control. Nothing happens without his cause or allowance; he is never surprised! Second we must be continually grateful for our family, friends, community and country. I am continually blessed by seeing acts of understanding, compassion, work and love. For this, I applaud us all. What a wonderful place to live! Third, this season will pass eventually and we must maintain hope and faith.

Telemedicine updates:

1) We can do Medicare and Medicaid visits by telephone and video. (per President Trump and CMS)

2) We can do Liberty County visits by telephone or video.

3) We can do Texas state-funded private insurance visits by telephone or video (per Governor Abbott and Texas Department of Insurance) Note: Your insurance card should have TDI or DOI on it if it is Texas state-funded.

4) We can do self-pay patients via telephone or video.

5) We will try to verify privately funded insurance plans for video and bill the claim as many private insurances are making exceptions during this crisis. However, if claims are rejected, we can bill the patient provided they verbally accept the charges prior to the visit if denied by insurance.

To do any telemedicine visits, the patient must call and request and/or consent to a telemedicine visit. It is also vital to remember that in some situations I may feel it is imperative that we see you in person. We will have to assess this on a case by case basis.

HIPPA regulations have been waived by Texas state law in "good faith" of providers and patients responding to a great need in this current situation. However, we are planning to try a couple of different platforms for videos and document visits in our established EMR, eClinicalWorks.

We are still seeing patients at the clinic provided our staff remains healthy and COVID-19 free so to speak. We are seeing chronic patients in the AM and scheduling sick visits in the PM. As the need arrises, we will likely move to acute care only at the clinic.

It is late and I hope this all is relatively coherent! We at Firm Foundations really appreciate your understanding and prayers during this time. Please contact us with more questions!

Love you all!
